Tony & Shayna had their wedding on one of the most perfect May days. There were big, fluffy clouds in the sky and the temperature was a pleasant 70 degrees. The month of May is easily one of my favorite months because everything is beginning to wake up after a long winter. The colors are starting to come alive and it makes shooting outdoor events that much more exciting. When we arrived at the reception venue, where the bridal party was getting ready, I spotted this beautiful blooming tree along the water that I knew we had to take some photos near it, it was perfect!

At one point during the day, the clouds had built up from just the big fluffy clouds to a thicker layer and it seemed that it could rain at any moment but thankfully the skies never opened up. Even, at the end of the night, the clouds started to part and the smallest bit of sun peaked through to give just the slightest, most stunning sunset. On top of a gorgeous sunset, Tony & Shayna are incredibly photogenic making the photos pure perfection. I was so giddy, and if it weren’t for wanting to get them back to their reception, I could have kept them out on the golf course all night taking pictures.

One of the special moments from the reception was when Shayna decided to surprise her parents, who just celebrated their 30th anniversary, with their own dance. It was so sweet and I loved that she did that for them! My other favorite moment of the night was when the DJ surprised everyone by doing the dance to N’Syncs ‘Bye, Bye, Bye’. It was such a fun moment and he totally killed it!
