Often I am asked what I love to photograph the most and the answer is I love it all! I think of myself as being a people photographer. I love people and I love documenting them. Whether it be your family, a senior, a newborn, small business branding photos, headshots, or just a fun project you have in mind, I would love to document it.

I believe everyone is beautiful and deserves to have their lives documented. When working with you, no matter what type of session it is, I want you to have fun. But more important, I want you to feel like the incredible person that you are.

how would you describe your style?

My style is natural and relaxed. When working with me, whether it be for your family photos for your senior session or for corporate headshots, whatever it may be, my goal is for you to have fun and create lasting memories. Having that perfectly posed shot can be great, but I am focusing more on the little moments. It’s the kids running around. It’s the way your hair blows across your face. I want you to remember how you are right now. Don’t wait until you lose those 5 lbs, or your teeth or perfectly straight, or your hair is the right color. My style is that I believe you are beautiful and perfect right now. At this very moment.

what should i or my family wear to our session?

I believe in being yourself. Wear something that makes you feel confident and comfortable. Let your kids wear something they love because they will only be this age once so lets document them how they are right now.

do you have props for newborn sessions?

I have a few baskets, various blankets, wraps, and very few headbands. I love to use these props that I have, but I really love to use blankets or props that have meaning to you. If a Grandma made a special blanket, I would love to use it. If you received a headband as a gift, let’s use it. Do you have any special prop ideas? I would love to use those too!

is there a studio space available if we would like indoor photos?

Yes! However, there is an additional fee for studio rental. The studio space I rent from is located in Grand Rapids and it books up quickly on the weekends, so if you would like a weekend session it is important to book earlier.

when is the best time of the day for portraits outside?

My favorite time to shoot is right before the sunsets. The soft, golden light before the sun sets is my absolute favorite. However, I am able to make pretty much anytime during the day work for your session. I can find good light at most locations. I would not recommend doing beach sessions during midday though

how long will it take for us to receive or images back?

My goal is to have your images back to you within two weeks.

do you offer mini sessions?

Yes I do! I love to offer mini session events randomly through out the year. Follow me on social media or sign up to be on my email list to hear about when & where the next mini session event will be held.
