What can even be said about these fabulous people that I call my friends? Kristen & Joe are celebrating their 7 year anniversary this fall and as they have every year since they got married they celebrated with an anniversary session. I have been friends with Kristen & Joe since high school and it has been incredible to watch them grow together in their relationship.
Marriage is definitely not always easy. There are challenges and hard times. Sometimes on social media it appears that some couples have this picture perfect relationship & marriage but as so many of us know, its only the bright times that people share. There is no such thing as a perfect marriage. To me, marriage is choosing to love someone every single day whether you want to or not. Every day isn’t going to be wonderful but when you choose to love each other every day, even through the tough stuff, that is what makes for a beautiful marriage.
It is my prayer that Kristen & Joe can continue to choose to love each other every day. It is my prayer that 50 years from now we are still taking anniversary photos. Marriage is tough stuff and it is definitely worthy of celebration when you make it another year. I am thankful for these friends of mine and their marriage. I am thankful to be able to document this time in their lives together and it’s my hope we are doing it for many years to come.
