Kate & Jake :: Spring Engagement Shoot

A couple weekends ago I met up with Kate & Jake for their spring time engagement session at Grandview Orchard in Hudsonville, MI. The orchard has been so gracious in allowing me to roam through their apple trees while the are blossoming for sessions and I am just so grateful to them for allowing me to do that! It is such a beautiful location.

Kate & Jake had originally wanted to do a winter engagement session with that perfect fluffy snow, but unfortunately that snow never really came this winter here in Michigan. So, we decided to wait until Spring with all of the blossoming trees and I think the wait was well worth it. Who needs snow when you have such gorgeous flowers & trees?! We were a little nervous we were going to end up getting rained out on their engagement session day but thankfully the rain held off and we were blessed with a beautiful Friday evening. After exploring the apple orchard we ended their session by going downtown Holland. It was just the start of Tulip Time downtown and the trees & Tulips were in full bloom.

It is always fun to incorporate something you love as a couple though as well, so I am glad we ended the session at New Holland Brewery downtown Holland. They both enjoy going there together when they are in town and I can’t think of a better way to end their session.

Thank you Kate & Jake for driving to come see me for your engagement session! You guys are absolutely adorable together and it was so much fun doing this session with you. I am so looking forward to your wedding day in September. Enjoy this preview!
