In 2016 one of my favorite things was all of the various different portrait sessions I had a chance to do. This term is a little broad, but I was able to photograph several seniors, work with various different companies for headshots as well as photos of their products, as well as several different personal portrait projects I did as well.
Some of the amazing different companies and groups I had a chance to work with are Holland Young Professionals, Grand Haven Laser Tattoo Removal, Dictionary Jumpstart, Beechwood Inn Catering, Wood Truck BBQ, Lakeshore Roller Derby, West Michigan Towing Solutions, The Third Chair and Inspired Health Chiropractic. They are all great and I would recommend checking them out!
For Holland Young professionals I was able to photograph one of their events as well take their headshots. Same with the Lakeshore Roller Derby, this year I had the opportunity to photograph one of their bouts as well as continue to work with them taking headshots & their group photo! It is so much fun to work with these businesses. It gives me the opportunity to talk with these incredible business owners as well as photograph things I don’t normally get to photograph. I love taking photos of food for Beechwood and the Wood truck BBQ. I also got to learn what it looked like to have a tattoo removed, which was fun to witness. Another thing I learned about this year was the business of captioning and the equipment needed to be a court reporter. It was so cool to see what that was all about and learn about the business. It was something I had honestly never given much thought to before.
Other fun portrait projects included a fun smoke bomb & holi paint yoga/ dance inspired photo shoot, a photoshoot with an incredible body builder, and I was also given the opportunity to photograph the Bras for a Cause event in Holland this year. What an incredible event that was! The point of the event is to raise money for breast cancer awareness and it was such a fun event to photograph. I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to play a small role in that event this year. The photos I was able to capture were so much fun! Be sure to check those out in this post too, they are hard to miss.
Thank you to all of the people that entrusted me with taking your headshots, product photos, senior photos, or just your fun portraits. I am thankful for each person I was able to work with this year and I look forward to all of the incredible companies I will have an opportunity to work with in 2017!
