It’s FriYAY! And I am so very excited to share this blog post today! A couple weekends ago I met up with Matt & Amy at their home to photograph their newborn baby girl, Kennedy. I am so excited to share these photos and their story. Several years ago Amy suffered an atopic pregnancy. The results of that were that they had to take both of her tubes out. She underwent this surgery not knowing this was going to be happening and when she came to was when she was told they had to take both tubes and she wouldn’t be able to get pregnant naturally.

So, they ended up going the route of in-vitro fertilization. After the first round she became pregnant! However, after 14 weeks she lost the baby. So then they tried again. And here I am today sharing this story about their beautiful daughter, Kennedy. It was longer than a 3 year journey to get to this point today. But I am sure both Matt & Amy would say it was all worth it.

We took a photo of baby Kennedy holding the photo of the fertilized eggs, one of them being her, and it just brought tears to my eyes. The miracle of birth is just so incredible. Everyone’s story is beautiful. Another awesome moment was photographing Kennedy with the verse “²⁷ For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him.” 1 Samuel 1: 27 and a photo of those fertilized eggs. The Bible that we opened to have that verse showing was Matt’s grandparents. What a moment that was.

I am just so thankful for the stories I have the opportunity to hear while doing what I love. The ability to help share these stories is one of the greatest feelings in the world.
